Frequently Asked Questions about AV Wholesale

Below are some of the most frequently asked questions by registered or potential customers regarding our service. Please take the time to read through these before contacting us with a support question, as your question may already be answered.


Dispatch
Question: How do I know when my order has been dispatched?
Answer: We will email you when your order has been dispatched, and include tracking details if available. A history of your orders can also be viewed on the 'My Orders' page.


Freight
Question: I am based in the USA. Can you ship directly to my customers in the USA, and what are the freight costs for your products?
Answer: At this time we do not accept orders from outside of Australia and we do not ship outside of Australia. Most of the electrical items we have for sale are specific to the Australian market so the power supplies and power cables may not be appropriate outside of Australia.

The products we sell are sourced in Australia and do not carry international warranties so they can only be repaired under warranty in Australia.


Marketing
Question: Where can I advertise?
Answer: You are only limited by your imagination where you can advertise. These are a few ways that our customers advertise: online store, traditional retail store, Yahoo! Shops, Amazon.com zStores, newspapers, online auctions (such as eBay), bulliten boards, newsgroups, flyers, university/school/shopping centre advertising boards and many more.


Payment
Question: Can I get a '7 day' account with AV Wholesale?
Answer: We do not offer account facilities at this stage.

Question: What payment methods do you accept?
Answer: We accept payment by: direct deposit (recommended), credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard), PayPal, PayMate, Moneybookers, Cheque or Money Order. If you choose to pay by credit card, we can hold your card number and details on file securely to speed up the dispatch time.


Pricing
Question: Can I see the pricing before deciding to register?
Answer: No. But registration is FREE and only takes a minute. We strive to offer our customers the most competative pricing possible.


Promotions
Question: Are there any incentives for people who order a number of products on a regular basis?
Answer: Yes, we will provide more details in the regular newsletters.


Registration
Question: I'm not registered as a business - can I still join?
Answer: Yes you can. If you don't have an ABN or registered company just use 'NA' when the registration form asks you for these details.


Tax
Question: Do I have to supply a 'Tax Invoice' to my customers? (Australian customers only)
Answer: The Australian Tax Office (ATO) has specific information on this issue.

Question: How do I claim back GST on order sent outside of Australia? (Australian customers only)
Answer: The Australian Tax Office (ATO) has more information on 'Tax Input Credits'.

Question: Do I have to pay tax on any money I make? (Australian customers only)
Answer: According to the Australian Tax Office, you must register for GST if you carry on a business AND your annual income exceeds $50,000. Find out more

Warranty
Question: How do I make a warranty claim?
Answer: We try to make our warranty process as easy as possible. However, as a wholesaler, we can only provide a replacement on faulty products. Or if a replacement is not available, you will receive an 'in-store' credit towards other products.

Warranty process for Auriga brand products

'Makasu' brand DVD players and TVs can be serviced at any authorised service agent. If the product is still within the warranty period AND the warranty registration has been completed, then the product will be repaired at no cost to the customer.

Any products with a 'Return-to-Base' warranty must be returned to AV Wholesale head office with a 'Return Authorisation Number'. A 'Return Authorisation Request' form must be completed and approved BEFORE returning any faulty products. A 'Return Authorisation Request' can be submitted via the extranet (registered customers only). Any returns without an approved 'Return Authorisation' will not be replaced.
